Women Together Foundation has a Community Education Program. The goal of the program is to promote healthy families by increasing awareness about domestic violence, its dynamics and its effects on children
The Education Program offers, presentations throughout our community. We present to healthcare providers, business leaders, community organizations, parent groups and to anyone else who is interested in joining the conversation and ending Domestic and Sexual Violence.
We provide presentations that include:
Agency Services, Domestic Violence Definitions & Types of Abuse, The Dynamics of Domestic Violence and Its Effect on Children, Common Myths, Teen Dating Violence/ Intimate Partner Violence and Strengthening Community Advocacy.
The outreach program strives to reach victims in colonias and rural areas. Outreach Advocates may provide on-site services and safety planning for victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. They also distribute agency information to local business and organizations for the convenience of the community.
